Ormond Beach, FL- John T. Dillon, 81, known to all as Jack, passed away on November 17, 2023 in Ormond Beach, Florida, after a brief illness. He was the loving husband of Elizabeth for 58 years. He was born in Waterbury on March 14, 1942 to John and Katherine (Darling) Dillon.
Jack was known as a gentleman. He loved people, especially his family and friends, and was loved by all who knew him. He had a wonderful sense of humor, a quick wit and always enjoyed a good joke. He was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and UCONN basketball. He loved music and enjoyed attending local theater productions. Jack was a 1960 graduate of Kaynor Tech and a veteran of the U. S. Navy.
Jack is survived by his wife Elizabeth, his son John (Wendy), his daughters Nancy Tenaglia (Tony), Stacey Sifodaskalakis (Fred) and Amy Jones(Mark), and his grandchildren Jacob, Karli, Patrick and Rebecca. He also leaves his sister, Diane Brewer (William) and nieces Jodi, Erica and Audra and nephews Brian and Todd. He was predeceased by his parents, his sister Janice and his brother David.
Jack bravely battled Parkinson’s Disease for the past twelve years. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Torrington Area Parkinson’s Support Group, at www.torringtonparkinsonssupportgroup.com or mailed to TAPSG, PO Box 521, Torrington, CT 06790.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Sacred Heart Church in Southbury, CT.
